The Riegelsville Tax and Education Coalition (RTEC) is a group of local leaders and concerned residents representing the will of the people in the Borough of Riegelsville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to join their neighbors in educating Riegelsville children in nearby Bucks County’s Palisades School District.
Formed in 2006, RTEC believes the current educational situation the small community of Riegelsville finds itself in does not serve either the children or the community. RTEC’s work is driven by the belief that our community’s biggest problem lies in being part of Northampton County’s Easton Area School District, which is neither educationally nor fiscally successful. Lacking representation in the school district, Riegelsville finds itself under-educated and over-taxed, with little resources left available for our in-town public services, such as the library and the volunteer fire department.
RTEC knows it is in the best interest of Riegelsville to join the Palisades School district, in order to better our children’s educations and the strength of our community, which is closely tied to our neighboring townships in this Bucks County district.
